Business description
The goal of the Enterprise Community Internship Program is to address the Indiana Brain Drain issue and to assist students in understanding how to invest in a community and become involved beyond their place of employment.

The following components are included in each internship experience within the Enterprise Community Internship Program:

Paid Internship- Paid internships are preferred. The amount will depend upon the organization.

Community Service - Interns will serve in a community service organization and become involved with a local church

Alumni Mentor- Interns are mentored by an IWU Alumnus in the community in which they intern

Housing- Interns are encouraged to live in the community in which they work

School Credit- Students receive 2- credits, 300 level course at no cost upon successful completion of the program

Activities- Interns are given community packets that will inform them of the recreational and leisure activities that each community offers

We believe that connecting students to the Indiana community beyond their place of employment provides a higher likelihood that they will stay in Indiana after graduation.
Who do you want to meet?
Small to large business who can better utilize their full-time employees by hiring students for internships during the summer for project support and to bring the latest concepts and methods to their organization. Also, internships are a great way to reduce recruiting costs for new talent as well as screening potential employees without the commitment to hire.
